Have you always wanted to see and experience the Kimberley, Cape York, Simpson Desert or South Australia’s Flinders Ranges and Outback but lack the confidence and experience to travel on your own?

We at Going Bush Tagalong Adventures welcome you to join us on one of our many Outback excursions.

Come along on one of our Tagalong Tours where you bring your own well equipped 4 wheel drive vehicle, your own camping equipment and we will take you to those far away places that you otherwise would not have traveled to on your own.

Our vehicle is equipped with GPS, HF and UHF radios for your safety and peace of mind. You can relax knowing that you’re in safe hands and in the company of a small group of like minded travelers.

We specialize in small group touring. Our groups will consist of a maximum of 6 vehicles. Small groups stand for friendly atmosphere, easy going, and hassle free tours.
On our tours we travel to some remote and not so remote areas. We offer tours of a short duration, longer duration or even extended duration. The choice is yours.
 
Some of our short tours can be seen as a preparation for a lengthier or more remote tour. For example our trip to the Goog’s Track could be seen as an introduction to the Simpson Desert: it has many sand dunes, some are up to 25 metres high but the track is only 154 km in length whereas the Simpson Desert is about 500 km long. Some of the shorter Flinders Ranges tours could be an ideal preparation for the longer Kimberley or Cape York tours.
 

What do we offer?

We cater to a wide range of enthusiasts, whether it is 4 wheel driving, viewing wildlife and flora, photography, bird watching, stargazing or just simply relaxing and unwinding.

Our tours can take you to visit Aboriginal sites where you can view Aboriginal Rock Art.

Try your hand at cooking steaming hot damper on an open fire. Can do as long as fires are permitted.

Enjoy the serenity of the Outback, the peace and quietness and the millions of stars in the night sky.

High levels of service

We take pride in offering you a high level of service. This service is a tagalong service exclusively and we do not carry passengers in our vehicle. Therefore you will get our undivided attention. You, as our guest, along with your fellow travel companions are the most important people on our trip and we are there to make your trip a most memorable one.
For your part it is expected you have a well equipped 4 wheel drive vehicle preferably with high ground clearance and low ratio gearing that is mechanically in A1 condition.
Our tours are exceptionally well suited for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts where you have the opportunity to get up real close and personal with nature.

Days of Adventure

A typical day on the road with us means leave camp around 9 am, stop for coffee and lunch breaks along the way, when you also have the opportunity to do a spot of bird watching or photography.  The distance we travel each day varies depending on the track conditions and the area we are in. However each day we will look for a campsite between 3 and 4 pm so that we have plenty of time to set up camp and get together over Happy Hour where we can unwind and discuss the day’s progress.  Happy Hour is followed by dinner, either cooked on the fire or on the stove.  If fires are permitted we will have a camp fire every night for cooking as well as for warmth

There is nothing that beats sitting around a camp fire at night. And at the end of the day we will all settle down for a good night’s rest in readiness to continue our adventure the next day. See our tour itineries
